Mars probably the first planet we will ever colonize as it is very similar to earth in many ways. It has polar ice caps, extinct volcanoes and even a decent (although weak) atmosphere. It is often thought that mars may have once been very similar to earth. It may have even supported life. The iron in the rocks gives it a red colour that attracts so many budding astronomers. Mars has two moons. Phobos and demos. They are believed to have been asteroids flung at mars from Jupiter. Phobos may even crash into mars in 50 million years time.
