Mercury
Mercury is the closest planet to the sun. It has the shortest years of all planets (88 days). Mercury also has a large core and multiple craters across the surface. As mercury is close to the sun it can reach temperatures of 427oC at day but when it turns away from the sun (night) temperatures reach -173oC!
